That’s completely normal—and they don’t need to be good on camera. This isn’t a performance. We create a relaxed environment and have a genuine conversation. After a few minutes, most people forget about the cameras and simply start telling stories.

Most people don’t. That’s part of why we do this. A childhood home, first job, family tradition, funny mistake, relationship, adventure, or lesson learned might feel ordinary to the person who lived it—but those are often the stories their family loves most. You don’t need an extraordinary life to have stories worth telling.

Very little. Before filming, we’ll send a questionnaire to help us learn about their life, family, important memories, and the stories you’d love us to explore. We take it from there. No scripts, memorized answers, or rehearsing required.

Then we don't talk about them. This is their story, and they're always in control of what they choose to share. We'll discuss any sensitive subjects or topics to avoid before filming.

Your Legacy Film will typically be delivered within 2-4 weeks of your filming date. We take our time with each story so the finished film feels intentional, polished, and personal.

Yes—and we encourage it. Family photographs can add another layer to the story and help bring the memories being discussed to life. We’ll talk with you beforehand about which photographs or other meaningful items would work best.

We love filming somewhere comfortable and meaningful to the person being interviewed—often their home. We’ll work with you beforehand to choose a location that looks great, sounds good, and feels natural. If they would prefer to come to us and film in our studio, we are more than happy to make that work.

Every story is different, so we don’t force your film into an arbitrary runtime. The final length depends on the conversation and the stories we capture. Our priority is creating a film that feels meaningful and enjoyable to watch—not simply making it longer.
